Masters degree Accomplished!

Having just recently finished my Masters degree in Marketing Management and successfully completed my thesis I thought I'd share it with everyone. I've decided to break it down into several articles for easier reading.

Thesis Overview:

I've always found the film industry an interesting topic, so I thought it would be a good opportunity to get a greater understanding of what makes consumers decide to view a film and what elements are most effective in their decisions.

As conventional advertising - print, television, etc - become more fragmented and cluttered I wanted to examine consumers attitudes towards the increased clutter in conventional advertising and how it affects their overall decision to see a film. With the increasing interest in viral marketing I thought it would be interesting to take a look at how consumers primarily select films, new release and to-DVD, and if viral marketing is more effective at influencing consumers decisions to view a film or if conventional advertising is still the most effective method.

I will be posting a new article each week about my research and findings. If you have any questions or would like to know more information about my studies please feel free to email me at dtomlinson22@gmail.com
